Disciplinary verdict: Rodrigo Isgr贸

Disciplinary verdict: Rodrigo Isgr贸

Rodrigo Isgr贸 has received a three-match ban, which will be reduced to two if he successfully completes the World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme (CIP).

Isgr贸 was cited for a dangerous tackle, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.13, during a game against Bath Rugby on Saturday 29th March. The tackle saw Isgr贸 receive a yellow card during the game, however following his citing it was upgraded to a red card offence.

The case of Isgr贸, Harlequins, was heard by an independent panel chaired by Sam Hillas KC, sitting with Martyn Wood and Christian Scotland-Williamson.

The player underwent a HIA after a head injury in his last match, meaning he wasn't available for selection for the fixture against Leinster on 05.05.2025, therefore this match won't count towards the ban.

Matches missed:

  • 11.04.2025 v EPCR Quarter Final (if Harlequins beat Leinster)

  • 19.04.2025 v Sale Sharks

  • 26.04.2025 v Leicester Tigers (subject to completion of CIP)

If Harlequins do not beat Leinster on 05.04.2025 and do not reach the EPCR Quarter Final, the third meaningful match will be:

  • 10.05.2025 v Gloucester Rugby
