The Boxing Day points record has just been broken, USM has its PRO D2 shield back under the Christmas tree and Toulouse has been crowned autumn champion.

•  Racing 92 and Castres are back in contention. 
  The Parisian and Tarn-based teams are now back in the running for a playoff spot. Having been stuck in mid-table for a time, both sides took advantage of home matches against Montauban and Lyon respectively to get back on track. These two victories put Racing 92 and Castres level on points (33 each), just outside the playoff places. 
   
• Pau secures the essentials, Toulouse crowned autumn champions  
  . Pau earned a perfect 5/5 record. A fifth consecutive league victory, achieved after a hard-fought battle against a tenacious Montpellier side . Led by a dazzling Mondinat, who scored twice, the Béarnais were always within striking distance of Montpellier, who ultimately scored more tries than their opponents. Five in total, including Piccardo's, secured a valuable defensive bonus point. Meanwhile, Toulouse regained the top spot in the league just in time to be crowned autumn champions. A dominant performance against La Rochelle at the Stadium, where the Red and Blacks scored nine tries, including a brace from Dupont, who has returned to his best form. 
   
• Jean-Dauger Stadium Didn't Fall After All. 
  By mere minutes, Paris almost pulled off a resounding upset: defeating Bayonne at Jean-Dauger Stadium. An opportunistic counter-attack by Halaifonua put the Pink Soldiers in a 28-34 lead with five minutes remaining. On the restart, the Basques sent their home crowd into raptures as they reached the opposition try line. Paulos unleashed his power to score before Segonds became the hero with the conversion, securing a 35-34 victory and preserving their unbeaten record. 
• The record has just been completely shattered. The 325 points scored on Boxing Day in the 2012-2013 season have now been surpassed by this weekend's tally of 444 points scored on the TOP 14 pitches. This is the highest total for a single Boxing Day matchday since the event's inception in 2009. To give you an idea of the scale, there were 59 tries scored during this 13th round of matches! Rugby fans and enthusiasts were truly spoiled.
