Bridie O’Gorman grew up in Sydney’s west before graduating at Sydney University with a civil engineering degree.
It was there she also pulled on the boots for the first time to play rugby as a 19-year-old in 2017.
O’Gorman broke into the NSW Waratahs squad as soon as the Super Rugby competition kicked off in 2018 before making her Wallaroos debut against Fiji in 2022.
She pushed on to play in the delayed 2021 Rugby World Cup and is one of the most experienced players in the squad, bringing up her 25th cap during the WXV 2 tournament in Cape Town, 2024.
O'Gorman played most of the 2025 season before selection at her second Rugby World Cup.
Away from the game O'Gorman likes to ride her motorbike, watch live music and her rugby league team the Sydney Roosters. She also enjoys swimming and rowing in her spare time.
