Bond has played for both Suntory Sungoliath in the Japanese Top League and the Bay of Plenty Steamers in his home country. He was also named in the first ever Sunwolves squad which will compete in Super Rugby from the 2016 season.
The Christchurch born lock returned to New Zealand in 2017 and will link up with Northland ahead of the 2017 Mitre 10 Cup season.
Bond enjoyed a fine season with Northland and has since signed with Waikato for the 2018 season.
