Watch: Matteo Minozzi drops the ball over the line for what would have been a BLINDER
- 2087
Matteo Minozzi almost scored one of the tries of the Champions Cup weekend as he sliced through the Clermont defence, chipped the ball over the top and regathered.
However, the Italian international failed to finish off his chance as Clermont fullback Kotaro Matshushima made the try saving tackle knocking the ball out of Minozzi's hand.
So good and not so good from Matteo Minozzi. 🤦♂️ #HeinekenChampionsCup #WASvASM pic.twitter.com/WF4o6iVrYj

Wasps went on to score soon after as Paolo Odogwu finished off a fine lineout move but Minozzi will certainly be disappointed he did not finish that one off.
Clermont went on to win the round of 16 25-27 as Matsushima dotted down for the score to level things in the final play of the game with Camille Lopez slotting the conversion to send Clermont through to the semi-finals.
