Watch: Cobus Reinach scores a hattrick as Montpellier retain second place

Montpellier cemented their place behind Bordeaux on the Top 14 standings on Saturday with a 29-12 victory over Pau.

Philippe Saint-André's side scored four tries in the bonus-point win with Springbok scrumhalf Cobus Reinach bagging three for himself and Wallabies hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa scoring the fourth.

Reinach has now scored seven tries in the League this season and has assisted a further three. Only Bordeaux's Ulupano Seuteni has scored more tries than Reinach this season.

Montpellier got off to a slow start with Reinach scoring the first points in the 30th minute after a well-worked lineout move.

He grabbed his second in the 44th minute before completing his hattrick after the hour mark.

Montpellier have now won 10 of their 15 games this season which sees them sit just five points behind Bordeaux in first place.

Saint-André's charges do have two games in hand over third and fourth-placed Lyon (48 points) and Castres (45) while Toulouse are in fourth with 42 points from 15 games.
