- 13914
South Africa have end an eight-year wait for victory over the All Blacks in the Republic securing a comprehensive 26-10 victory.
Kurt-Lee Arendse scored early in the first half with Shannon Frizell scoring the All Blacks only try late in the encounter.
Willie Le Roux came off the bench to put the final nail in the coffin to send New Zealand down to fifth in the world ranking scoring with his first touch of the ball.
Here is how we rated the Springboks.
15. Damian Willemse - 7
Willemse was sound under the high ball and had some nice touches in the attack. He offloaded well in contact and looked to provide the spark with every touch he got.
14. Kurt-Lee Arendse - 5

2⃣nd Test cap 🧢
1⃣st try against New Zealand 🏉#RSAvNZL #RugbyChampionship pic.twitter.com/WXEdvNLfp3
Red carded in the match's latter stages and rightfully so after a poorly timed chase and took Beauden Barrett out in the air.
Before then, he enjoyed a fantastic performance scoring his first test try in just his second test. Caleb Clarke got no purchase down his flank and threatened each time he got the ball.
13. Lukhanyo Am - 8
Another amazing pass from Lukhanyo Am against New Zealand. World class. 🤯#RSAvNZL pic.twitter.com/gz7wdYuSRp

A trademark Lukhanyo Am performance as he produced another brilliant pass to set Kurt-Lee Arendse up for his first test try. He landed some hefty hits on defence and was excellent at the breakdown.
He grabbed an intercept late in the game, but the Boks could not convert.
12. Damian de Allende - 7
The All Blacks struggled to contain the Springbok centre as he powered to 36 running metres from his seven carries. He was solid on defence too.
11. Makazole Mapimpi - 7.5
He was fantastic in the air, and while he didn't get too many chances in attack. Defensively sound and did what was required of him.
10. Handre Pollard - 7.5
Excellent from the tee, knocking over his first kick from the touchline. His kicks from hand caused all kinds of issues for the All Blacks. He took the ball to the line well too. Some erratic moments, throwing a forward pass under little pressure and missed touch with one of his penalties.
9. Faf de Klerk - n/a
He had a lively start having around four involvements but was forced off after he got his head on the wrong side of a tackle.

8. Jasper Wiese - 8
What a tackle from Jasper Wiese! Right on the ankles!#RSAvNZL pic.twitter.com/MxWTtU129y

A busy performance from the Springbok no.8, who topped the tackle count with 14. He made a joint team-high of eight carries.
He conceded the odd penalty, but overall he was essential in generating front foot ball and was solid in all departments.
His ankle tap on Will Jordan was a vital intervention at a crucial time.
7. Pieter-Steph du Toit - 7
Du Toit landed some massive hits on Beauden Barrett and continually tackled well. A few carries on the attack before being subbed early in the second half.
6. Siya Kolisi - 8
Defensively, Kolisi was superb, making ten tackles and threatening the All Blacks' breakdown. He had two big carries and passed twice.
5. Lood de Jager - 7
De Jager always produces a workmanlike performance, and today was no different. He ran the lineout well, made his carries, tackles, and cleared out rucks—stock standard.
4. Eben Etzebeth - 7.5
Excellent in all facets of the game. He contested high balls well and grabbed a turnover at the All Blacks' lineout.
A physical and effective performance from the centurion.
3. Frans Malherbe - 8
A strong scrummaging performance, excellent on the counter rucks and sound on defence.
2. Malcolm Marx - 9
Marx marked his 50th test cap with a brutal breakdown performance in the first half affecting three turnovers in the opening 40 minutes.
Accurate at the set piece, brutal on defence and strong with ball in hand, as good of a test hooker's shift as you are likely to see.

1. Trevor Nyakane - 6
He had the upper hand in the scrums in the early stages of the game but was guilty of a few mistakes in that area and was replaced before halftime—Sharp on defence.
Replacements:
16. Bongi Mbonambi - 7
While he wasn't as impactful over the ball as Marx, Mbonambi was brilliant on defence.
17. Steven Kitshoff - 7.5
Strong scrummaging performance, a pest over the ball and landed some big hits, one on Dane Coles ending a promising attack.

18. Vincent Koch - 7
Koch conceded one silly penalty while the Springboks were on the attack, but he had a similar impact to that of Kitshoff.
19. Salmaan Moerat - 5
Came on in the last six minutes, made his tackles but not enough time to make a real impact.
20. Franco Mostert - 7
Picked up where de Jager left off.
21. Kwagga Smith - 7.5
Busy as ever in all departments, overcooked a kick but it was on.
22. Jaden Hendrikse - 7.5
Injected into the game far earlier than he expected, he stepped up and produced a fine performance. He kicked well out of hand and had little to no errors.
23. Willie le Roux - 7
On in the final minutes of the game, scored with his first touch.
