Saints injury update ahead of trip to Exeter Chiefs.

Sam Graham is back in full training and ‘raring to go’ ahead of Saints’ Gallagher PREM game at Exeter Chiefs on Saturday. Saints are still waiting for the specialist results on Curtis Langdon and Tom Pearson after they were forced off during the first half at Bath last Friday.

Tom Lockett could also miss this weekend’s trip to Sandy Park after having to come off for a head injury assessment late on in the Investec Champions Cup quarter-final defeat at The Rec.

Graham’s return is a boost though, with the No.8 having not played since the PREM Rugby Cup game at Newcastle Red Bulls on February 20 due to injury.

On Langdon, who suffered a thumb injury, and Pearson, who suffered a broken bone in his hand, Vesty said: “They have both been to see specialists and we’re just waiting on the timescale of those, but they both picked up niggles.”

Tom James has not played since the Gallagher PREM game against Newcastle on March 21 as he has been battling a hamstring injury. “He’s starting to get in and amongst moving in and around in training but he’s not (ready) quite yet,” Vesty said.

Saints were able to welcome back Alex Mitchell and George Hendy last weekend as they made appearances from the bench during the second half.

And Vesty said: "Getting Mitch back is obviously a big thing for us and having Hendy back is a big plus for us.”

However, the likes of Alex Coles, James Ramm and long-term injury victims Trevor Davison and Edoardo Todaro are set to remain sidelined this weekend.
