Promising back-rower Will Hickey is set to pursue a professional rugby career in Wales with the Ospreys, according to a report by The42.
Murray Kinsella reports that the former Ireland Schools international is set to sign a deal with the Welsh Pro14 side after missing out on a place in the Leinster system.
After a successful youth career featuring at no.8 and on the side of the scrum, Hickey has said to have missed out on a place in the Leinster Academy system despite featuring for Leinster A as recently as December.
Mike Ruddock is in charge of the Ospreys’ development pathway and Hickey is understood to have caught the attention of the former Ireland U20s and Lansdowne boss.
