PRO14 Round 17 Highlights: Connacht Rugby v Ospreys
- 1368
A massive win for Connacht as they put the pressure on the likes of Cardiff Blues in the race for a playoff spot in the Guinness Pro 14. The Irish Province came out firing with centre Tom Farrell scoring a try in the first two minutes of the game with Kyle Godwin adding two penalties from the tee. Matthew Aubrey got one back for Ospreys after a charge down by Ollie Cracknell before the floodgates opened for Connacht with Matt Healy and Kieran Marmion touching down for 5 pointers before Connacht were awarded a penalty try to lead 46-5. It went from bad to worse for Ospreys with Keelan Giles and Jordan Lay being sent to the sin bin just before and just after the break with Connacht making the number count with Marmion grabbing his second 5 pointer. The game died down a bit from there before Bradley Davies was sent to cool off in the 68th minute for a high tackle with Connacht making the numbers count once again with Tom McCartney going over at the back of the maul.
