Premiership Rugby returns to French television screens having penned a one-year deal with broadcast giants beIN Sports, beginning with Leicester Tigers v Sale Sharks on Sunday, December 1.
The Premiership was last broadcast on French television in the final stages of 2021-22 season, with the new deal for the remainder of the 2024-25 season seeing at least one match per matchday available for viewers in France.
As part of the deal, beIN Sports MENA (Middle East and North Africa) will also broadcast at least one match per matchday during the 2024-25 campaign.
Ollie Lewis, Head of Broadcast at Premiership Rugby, said:
“Premiership Rugby is delighted to link up with beIN Sports again to bring Premiership Rugby back to the French and MENA markets.
“After six rounds of the Premiership, the cumulative paid audience in the UK is up by 700,000 and we are thrilled to expand our reach into these important territories and offer the unmissable entertainment of the Premiership to more passionate rugby fans overseas.
“I’d like to place my thanks to the team at Pitch International for their work in securing a terrific deal for Premiership Rugby and our supporters in France, Middle East and North Africa.”
