Leicester Tigers side to play Gloucester Rugby
- 995
Leicester Tigers have named their side for Friday night’s Premiership Cup Final against Gloucester live on TNT Sports at 7:45pm.
Handré Pollard starts at flyhalf for Tigers, the back-to-back Rugby World Cup winner having played against Sale in the Cup earlier this season.
The other headline selection sees prop Joe Heyes starting at tighthead after the England international was released from Guinness Six Nations camp.
Josh Bassett returns from injury to take his place on the right wing with Semi-final standout Phil Cokanasiga named in the finishers.
Leicester Tigers head coach, Dan McKellar said: “As a player or coach, you work towards playing in finals but in reality, out of all the games you’ll be involved in, very few are finals so this is a great opportunity for us to create a memory together and be part of this club’s history forever. “
“We know there’ll be a big crowd there, it’s a huge occasion for Gloucester so final aside, it’s going to be a big challenge on Friday night.
“Having Handré and Joe in the side will give the group a lift but it’s about the collective and 1-23 preparing well and performing their role on the night.”
