Here’s Mike Brown defending Stuart Lancaster, the England head coach, against
an unfavourable comparison with Joe Schmidt, his counterpart in the Ireland
set-up.
“It’s the English media, the way they are,” Brown said.
“They like
to knock people.

Later, talking about his national captain, Brown said this: “I was reading
Chris Robshaw is not a good enough player.
That says it all really.
It’s
just the way we are in England.
I just get frustrated for Chris.
He’s
probably not read it, but it annoys me.
I’ve grown up with him and am extra
close to him.
