The Jaguares opened the scoring with a penalty, before crossing for two tries to build a 17-0 lead. The Sharks hit back with a try on the stroke of halftime to trail 17-7 at the break. The Sharks kept the scoreboard ticking over with two second half penalties to reduce the deficit to just four points at 17-13. However, a Jaguares try with 10 minutes to play saw the hosts regain control of the match at 24-13. The Jaguares would put the cherry on the cake with their fourth try with the final play of the match securing a bonus point victory.
