The Wallabies put the All Blacks under early pressure taking 6-0 lead in Sydney but the current Bledisloe Cup champions fought back with Aaron Smith scoring a late first half try to trail by just one-point at half time. The All Blacks came out firing the second half with Jack Goodhue setting up and scoring his first test try within the first 5 minutes of the second half. The floodgates opened from there with Beauden Barrett pouncing on a loose ball and won the foot race to score. 10 minutes later lock Brodie Retallick threw a great dummy to score before Wallabies debutant Jack Maddocks went in for his first try of the side. Waisake Naholo then went in for a quick double to secure the 25 point win.
