Dombrandt returns for Harlequins

Alex Dombrandt returns to captain Harlequins ahead of their Investec Champions Cup Round of 16 tie against Leinster at Croke Park (Saturday 05 April, 15:00)

Head Coach Danny Wilson has made six changes for the trip to the Emerald Isle as Harlequins and Leinster face each other in competitive fixture for the first time in over a decade.

In the backs, Leigh Halfpenny comes into the starting XV in place of Rodrigo Isgro who misses out after sustaining a concussion in last week’s Gallagher Premiership outing. Halfpenny’s inclusion sees Tyrone Green shift to the wing for Saturday’s contest.

A second change in the backline sees Ben Waghorn return to the midfield to partner Oscar Beard as Luke Northmore retains his place in the wider matchday squad as an impact player.

In the forwards, Harlequins are boosted by the return of skipper Alex Dombrandt to the base of the scrum, alongside Will Evans who starts at openside flanker.

Meanwhile, Chandler Cunningham-South shifts into the second row to partner Joe Launchbury in the Irish capital. Irne Herbst is named as an impact players and Stephan Lewies misses out with an Achilles issue.
