London Scottish has confirmed that centre Ben Mosses & back rower James Tyas have re-signed with the club ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Ex-Bristol & Bath Rugby man Mosses has made eighteen appearances for the Scots this season, scoring six tries along the way and has formed a formidable centre partnership in Scottish’s midfield this season with Ross Neal.
26-year-old ex-Bath Academy player Tyas has been a versatile cog in the Scottish pack this season, playing all across the back row and second row
On Mosses' re-signing, Director of Rugby Dave Morris said: “Ben is a very switched on young man who away from rugby is using his time wisely to gain valuable experiences in the city. Exploring life outside of rugby is something as a club we feel is very important as part of players continued personal development. I would like to publicly thank Angus Stewart and Jamie Kirkwood for their mentorship of Ben in this area.”
Dave Morris also stated how happy he was that Tyas will be playing in the Tartan and Blue next season.:
“We are thrilled that James has re-signed for London Scottish. He has had a very good season and I have seen good development in his game this year. James is a Swiss army knife of a player, who brings so much versatility to the team being able to play across the back row and in the second row. He is also a very good lineout caller and excellent under the high ball especially off kick offs. Off the field he really contributes to the wider club and he has been an outstanding coach within our junior set up.”
