Tom Court sent to the bin for cynical play.

Marvellous move by Irish which cuts the Falcons defence right open and they score untouched in the corner.

HT. Newcastle will feel a bit hard done by. They have probably had the lions share of possession and chances. Irish have been clinical and have excelled at the basics. With the return of Tom Court just at half time, there are ominous signs for the Newcastle scrum.

Irish looking very fit and sharp. Playing some good rugby.

Wasn't clear.

Was there an injury?

Newcastles loose head prop Eric Fry is under pressure in the scrum.

A bit of ill discipline from both sides results in the referee having words with the captains.

Despite having no.12 on his back, Shane Geraghty is controlling the game.

Newcastle have started well showing some excellent defence.
