Gone to the TMO to check a tackle in the air from Mike Hayley on Tommy Bell.

Welcome back Dan!

Another penalty for Tigers as Sale off their feet at the breakdown. Burns kicks into touch.

Kick drifts right of the post and the score remains 17-13.

Sale on the back foot now and are giving away needless penalties. Burns has a chance to extend their lead after Sale penalised at breakdown.

Try Tigers. The move starts with a quick tap penalty at the scrum and the ball is thrown wide to Matt Smith who scores the try. Controversial one as it looks like he knocked on when placing the ball down. Ref doesn't go upstairs and the try stands. Burns converts and the score is now 17-13 Tigers.

Good to see Dan Cole back on the pitch after 10 months out. He comes on for Tiziano Pasquali.

Much better start from Tigers in this half, they counter brilliantly and go close to scoring but Thompstone knocks the ball on in contact.

Perfect start from the hosts. A brilliant line from Burns who breaks through 2 defenders and then gives a lovely offload to Harry Thacker who manages to hold onto the ball and dart under the sticks.

Sale get the 2nd half underway.
