James is a talented young outhalf who signed a development contract in 2011-12 after coming through the Academy ranks.
The former Campbell College captain played for Ireland U21 at the Junior World Championships in 2010 and 2011. McKinney has an impressively accurate boot and can slot kicks from almost anywhere inside the half.
The former Ireland Under-20 back signed a contract with Jersey Reds until the end of the 2016/17 season.
