Francois Brummer

17th May 1989 1.83m/91kg Inside Centre

Brummer is an extremely agile out half and a great link between the forwards and backs. His pace with ball and speed of his pass can open gaps anywhere in the field. Born in Pretoria Brummer attended Waterkloof High.

He was awarded Vodacom Cup Player of the Year in 2011 for his outstanding form all season for the Blue Bulls.

Having represented Griquas and the Cheetahs before returning to the Bulls in 2016, he earned a South African A call up.

Brummer has scored an impressive 128 in just 20 appearances since his debut in 2010.

2017 saw him join Japanese Top League side Toyota Industries Shuttles for their 2017/18 campaign.

Brummer has been named as a midfielder in John Mitchell's first Super Rugby squad in 2018 despite playing most of his rugby at flyhalf.

He heads into the 2018 season with 23 Super Rugby caps and 138 points.
