World Rugby has published the ranking permutations for the second match of the Rugby Europe Women's Championship 2024 in Lisbon this weekend.
Permutation highlights:
- Portugal will jump two places to 25th if they make a winning start to life in the Rugby Europe Women’s Championship 2024 against the Netherlands.
- They will gain another place if the winning margin is by more than 15 points.
- A draw would still lift Portugal up two places, while condemning their visitors to a one-place fall to 16th.
- The Netherlands will drop two places to 17th if beaten by the lower-ranked Portugal with Samoa and Fiji the beneficiaries.
- Defeat by more than 15 points would also drop the Netherlands below Hong Kong China.
- The Netherlands are unable to improve their rating with victory due to the 16.08 points difference between the teams before home weighting is factored in.
