What can we expect in the Rugby Championship
- 932
The Rugby Championship kicks off in exactly 5 days and here’s what to expect.
The opening game of tournament sees Australia take on South Africa at Suncorp stadium in Brisbane at 06:30 local time.
The second game of the tournament sees New Zealand take on Argentina at the Sky Stadium in Wellington at 09:00 local time.
We expect the All Blacks to do well given their track record in the tournament over the years but recent performances against a struggling England, where they beat them narrowly on both occasions, show signs of a struggling All Blacks team.
The World Champs, Springboks do not have the best track record in the tournament having last won it in 2019 but will look to continue their recent good form and win the Championship off the back of a World Cup win last year where they beat New Zealand in the final.
The Wallabies are rebuilding under the leadership of Joe Schmidt and have shown in their recent performances that they look to pose a threat in this tournament. They may not be the favourites to win the tournament, but they will certainly not be a pushover.
The Los Pumas side are the least favourite to win the tournament, but one thing is for sure that they will cause an upset somewhere, somehow.
