Bordeaux sign Volavola and Fidow
Bordeaux-Begles have confirmed the signings of medical jokers Ben Volavola and Ed Fidow.
Volavola has signed on with the club until January and arrives in France off the back of an impressive Mitre 10 Cup campaign with North Harbour.
24-year-old Fidow is currently representing Brisbane City in the NRC and is expected to join the club in early November.
France name squad for November Tests
Noves has named eight uncapped players including Bastareaud's Toulon team-mate Anthony Belleau, Geoffrey Doumayrou and Felix Lambey.
Guirado Guilhem will continue to lead the side while Camille Lopez and Yacouba Camara miss the squad through injury.
Joe Marler suspended for three weeks
Marler was cited by the match Citing Commissioner, Murray Whyte (Ireland), for striking the Wasps second row, Will Rowlands (No 5), with his elbow in the 48th minute of the match in contravention of Law 10.4 (a).
Marler is suspended until midnight on Sunday, 19 November, the Committee took into account the player's likely playing commitments in the coming weeks. Both Marler and EPCR have the right to appeal the decision.
Nick Grigg signs new two-year Glasgow deal
Glasgow Warriors and Scotland centre Nick Grigg has signed a new contract with the club, keeping him at Scotstoun until at least May 2020.
Grigg was voted the Players’ Player of the Season for his stand-out performances during the 2016/17 season and made his Scotland debut against Fiji on the summer tour in June.
Dylan Hartley cleared from Champions Cup citing
England captain Dylan Hartley has been cleared to play for England after his citing complaint for an alleged strike to the head of Clermont Auvergne prop Rabah Slimani was dismissed.
This means Hartley is free to continue playing and captain England if he is named by Eddie Jones in Thursday's squad announcement.
Tom Robertson inks new Waratahs, ARU deal
Wallabies prop Tom Robertson has signed a new deal with the Waratahs and Australian rugby until 2020.
Robertson, 23, is viewed as one of Australia's brightest young prospects and already has 15 caps to his name. Of the Wallabies' ten internationals this year, Robertson has featured in eight of those.
Ben Spencer signs a new deal with Saracens
Saracens have announced that Ben Spencer is the latest player to commit his future to the club, with the 25-year old scrum-half signing a new deal to remain at Allianz Park until 2020.
Spencer joins Owen Farrell, Jamie George, Nick Isiekwe, Alex Lozowski, and Max Malins in signing new terms with the club, as Saracens continue to secure their brightest talents to long-term deals.
Warren Whiteley may return in December
Springbok & Lions captain Warren Whiteley should be back in competitive action by December according to Lions team doctor Rob Collins.
Whiteley has been injured since June, but Collins says he can start jogging over the next few weeks.
Harry Mallinder signs new deal at Saints
Northampton Saints have announced that Harry Mallinder has signed a contract extension at Franklin’s Gardens until 2020.
The 21-year-old has been at Saints since 2007 having come through the Academy setup and won a Premiership Academies League title back in 2014.
