RC Toulon met a familiar foe in English giants Harlequins earlier in the day's first Champions cup fixture. Here are some play-by-play moments of the game:
1' after applying the pressure from kickoff, Toulon scored in the first minute through Italian international Gianmarco Lucchessi.
2 Baptste Serin converts the extra two points
7' Cadan Murley's try was reviewed upstairs but eventually denied by the ref after Toulon lock Davide Ribbans who made the vital tackle.
15' Quins inside centre Luke Northmore needed some attention from the medic. He was however able to continue after being strapped up.
18' Tighthead proper Kyle Sinckler walks off for Toulouse holding his wrist and is replaced by Emerick Setiano
25' A lovely dummy pass by Scrum-half Baptiste Serin from a ruck on the Quins 5 saw him score the games second try of the day.
26' Serin converts his try
36' Quins openside flanker James Chisholm is sent to the sin bin after leading with his forearm into contact, leaving his team to continue with 14 men until 6 minutes into the second half.
37' Toulon punish the visitors with their third try of the game coming from Esteban Abadie immediately after Chisholm was sent to the bin
39' It became two tries in two minutes, this time through Toulon left-wing Juta Waniqolo who had been having an excellent game from the first minute.

49' Harlequins come out a lot more determined in the second half and eventually score their first points of the game through a try from Will Porter.
50' Marcus Smith converts the try, earning him his first points of the match
54' Jack Walker shows why Quins are never to be counted out as he followed up with Quins' second try from the back of a maul
55' Smith scores the conversion
57' Toulon shut down the Quins come back with a try from Gael Drean who catches on to an offload from Waniqolo
66' A grubber kick almost found Waniqolo but he fails to keep it in play
78' Quins win a scrum in a vital position.
79' Nick David scores the games final points with a try for Quins however, Toulon held on for an emphatic win
80' Smith converts and the match comes to an end.
