An end to end game as both sides struggled to take control of the game. In the end, it ends in a fair draw. Iosefa Tekori was sent to the sin bin early on for a silly indiscretion at the breakdown and Castres took the lead from the boot of Ben Urdarpilleta. Zack Holmes levelled things 11 minutes later once Tekori returned and won a penalty to make amends for his early error. Peato Mauvaka forced his way over the line after a strong maul by Toulouse with the hosts lineout often failing throughout the game. Holmes added the extras and another penalty as Toulouse led 13-3 at the break. Castres started the second half brighter than Toulouse and closed the gap to three points when Thomas Combezou powered over after an extended period of pressure for Castres. The tense encounter continued with neither side able to truly get the upper hand. Ben Urdapilleta slotted a shot at goal with 15 minutes to play but Holmes cancelled it out moments later. Urdapilleta had the final say as Castres turned down another shot at a potential try as they took the points on offer with four minutes to play and tied the game. Zack Holmes did have a shot to seal the victory for Toulouse but his drop goal sailed wide two minutes after the hooter as the game ended all square.
