KALAVETI RAVOUVOU SET FOR 50TH BEARS APPEARANCE IN HISTORIC FIRST MEETING WITH TOULOUSE
Kalaveti Ravouvou will make his 50th competitive appearance for the club when Bristol Bears take on five-time winners Stade Toulousain in the Investec Champions Cup round of 16 on Saturday, in the first ever meeting between the two clubs (5.30pm KO BST).
The Fijian flyer starts on the wing alongside the returning Gabriel Ibitoye and Welsh international Louis Rees-Zammit at Stade de Toulouse, with Benhard Janse van Rensburg also back in the starting XV to face the French champions.
Benjamin Grondona is the only change to the pack from last weekend’s Gallagher PREM meeting with Harlequins in Cardiff, replacing his brother who is ruled out with injury. The young Argentina international starting at number eight alongside centurion Steven Luatua and skipper Fitz Harding.
Bristolians Ellis Genge and George Kloska pack down either side of Gabriel Oghre in the front row, with another Bristolian James Dun and Joe Owen combining in the second row.
Among the replacements, there’s a return to action for Max Lahiff, while Academy lock George Taylor is also included.
