Simon Zebo one of three stars linked with a move away from Paris

Former Munster and Ireland fullback Simon Zebo could find himself looking for a new club at the end of the current TOP14 season according to reports in France.

A report by French newspaper Midi Olympique states that the French giants are eyeing up Argentine fullback Emiliano Boffelli to replace Zebo with the 25-year-old still yet to sign for a club since Super Rugby 2020 was called off, leaving the Jaguares to tell players to take up contracts abroad.

Whispers have surrounded Zebo who is in his final year of his contract at the Paris club, for some time with reports in March suggesting that he was ready to exercise the one-year extension clause in his contract. However, it looks as if those rumours were premature as Racing look to sign the highly rated Argentine to replace Zebo in the side. Racing also added Wallaby Kurtley Beale to their ranks ahead of the new season with Beale starting the opening two games at fullback as Zebo recovers from a foot injury.

Zebo has been linked with a move to America in the past but he’s still on 30 and will no doubt feel he still has a lot to offer at the highest level. A fan favourite at Munster, he would be welcomed back with open arms by the supporters if Johann van Graan can find space for the fullback in his squad.

Zebo is not the only Racing 92 star that has been linked with a move away from the club with previous reports suggesting that French International centre Virmi Vakatawa is considering his options and could end up in the Premiership next season when his contract expires with Gloucester reportedly interested.

It’s believed the offer from Gloucester have offered Vakatawa a massive deal as the side's marquee player while fellow french International Teddy Thomas is also reportedly set to leave the club with Midi reporting that Racing 92 president Jacky Lorenzetti concerned about Thomas' injury record.

Toulouse are reportedly interested in the Racing 92 winger as too is Harlequins' boss Paul Gustard who is looking for a high-profile wide man after Vereniki Goneva and Gabriel Ibitoye both departed Twickenham Stoop.
