REPORTS: Kurtley Beale in line for Wallabies return

According to reports in Australia, Kurtley Beale is expected to meet with the Wallabies’ medical staff on Tuesday to determine his Rugby Championship fate.

According to Fox Sports Australia, Beale isn’t the only one who is in the frame for a Wallabies recall, with Bernard Foley another who is strongly being considered for a return after three years in the wilderness.

France-based Beale, who famously helped the Wallabies beat the Springboks 41-39 in Bloemfontein in 2010, played in the 2019 World Cup, but was left out of the 2020 squad, before earning a recall against Scotland in November 2021.

Following season-ending injuries to Samu Kerevi and Quade Cooper, the Wallabies have room to add a third overseas based player to complement Rory Arnold and Marika Koroibete.

The Wallabies are expected to name their squad for the Tests against the Springboks in Adelaide and Sydney by Wednesday.
