Reds Re-Sign Form Centre Isaac Henry for 2027

The Queensland Rugby Union is delighted to announce that in-form centre Isaac Henry has been re-signed for 2027.
Henry has been a standout for the Queensland Reds in back-to-back wins over the ACT Brumbies and NSW Waratahs in his return to Super Rugby Pacific.
Moves to lock in the 27-year-old back at Ballymore were underway even before those performances because of the high regard in which he is held by the Reds.
He backed up linebreaker Filipo Daugunu to score the go-ahead try against the Waratahs in the closing stages at Suncorp Stadium last Saturday night. His strong carries, sure defence and passing were features of an excellent game.
"The last few years have been up and down with my body so it has been pretty awesome to be back and playing in two good wins. I've been proud of myself and the boys," Henry said.
"Not too long ago I was questioning whether I'd keep playing so to leave it all out there on the field again for 80 minutes is just a good feeling.
"I'm super happy to stay on for another year at the Reds. Queensland is home."
Henry has been a major beneficiary of the Reds' expanded program of matches outside Super Rugby Pacific.
He played full cap matches against the British and Irish Lions, Tonga and Japan's Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights in the second half of 2025 as well as two matches in the Super Rugby AUS series.
"You can improve in the gym and at training but the more you can play, the more you pick up the intricacies of the game and find your rhythm. It's really been a plus for me that the Reds work hard to schedule extra games to advance their players," Henry said.
Off the field, Henry takes his development seriously as well and is in the latter stages of a degree in finance from Melbourne's Deakin University.
Reds Head Coach Les Kiss said Henry had the respect of all in the Reds camp.
"His training ethos and footy intelligence are appreciated by all and he has a sense of calm on the field," Kiss said.
"He plays well on both sides of the ball. He's part of a competitive midfield at the Reds. Whether it is at No.12 or No.13, he shows the qualities he brings."
