Match Report: Northampton Saints 3 Bath 18
Bath battled hard but eventually got the job done to beat Northampton Saints at Franklin Gardens and move into the Playoff places, earning just their second win at the venue in 19 matches.
It was a tight but sloppy first half, with no side really dominating. Both sides had chances in the first half but errors kept things all square at half time.
Both scrums had an intense battle throughout the game, but Bath made better use of any advantage given earning a number of scrum penalties.
The game only really came to life in the 58th minute, when a mistake in the Saints 22m, allowed Bath to send the ball to de Glanville who scored in the corner.
Bath had the momentum and adatange from that point and Saints struggled to create many opportunities to get back into the game.
Another mistake from Saints, allowed McConnochie to wrap things up and take the points for Bath.
Northampton will be wondering what has happened since the restart, as they have struggled with consistancy.
They have now lost five home games in a row. The last time that happened was in 2004.
Bath are flying and will go into their next game full of confidence, with three wins in a row since the restart.
