Leicester Tigers treated their fans to a hugely improved performance against Sale Sharks on Saturday.

Going into the game level on points and without a try for far too long, it would be fair to say that expectations were not at an all-time high.

As it was, Tigers' first-half performance probably qualified as the best this season.

Although the second half did not quite match up to that level of quality, Tigers beat a decent rival who would have their own hopes of a play-off place.
