2014
Ireland travelled to Twickenham, having won their opening two games and were looking to defeat England and continue their Grand Slam ambitions. In what was a tight affair, Ireland led 10-6 midway through the first half thanks to a try from Rob Kearney and a penalty from Johnny Sexton. However England responded with a try of their own with Danny Care going over the under the posts after good play from Mike Brown. Ireland pushed for a score to level up the game but it never came with England securing a 13-10 win.
2013
A game that will not be remembered for the top class Rugby played with England leaving the Aviva with a 12-6 win. It what a miserable day in Dublin with the rain pouring all game and Owen Farrell was the match winner with four penalties with Ronan O’Gara splitting the posts with two efforts of his own, but was not enough to deny England the win.
2012
Every Irish fan will not want to reminded of the final game in the 2012 Six Nations when they suffered an embarrassing 30-9 defeat to England at Twickenham. The turning point of the game was when Mike Ross was forced off through injury and Tom Court was forced to play out of position at tighthead prop. Court struggled and so did the Irish scrum with England taking advantage with Farrell punishing them from the tee and England also awarded a penalty try. Ben Youngs sealed the win with a try late on, with England winning 30-9 in the end.
2011
The t-shirts were made and the champagne was on ice as England made their way to the Aviva looking to secure the Grand Slam. However Ireland had other ideas. In what was a hugely one sided affair Ireland prevented England from winning the Grand Slam with a 24-8 win thanks to the boot of Sexton and tries from Bowe and O’Driscoll. In the end England were crowned champions but Ireland made sure there would be no Grand Slam celebrations in Dublin that night.
2011
Ireland and England played out two games in 2011, with the second being a warm-up game played at the Aviva before the World Cup in New Zealand. After suffering an embarrassing 24-8 defeat five months prior, England were able to get the better of Ireland this time winning 20-9. A try from Manu Tuilagi and two penalties from Wilkinson gave them a 13-9 lead before Delon Armitage got a try of his own to seal the win.
