HIGHLIGHTS: Bayonne v Brive
- 1343
It was a hotly contested first half here at Jean Dauger with both teams coming out in full force to try and take the upper hand. Bayonne were the first on the board with both a penalty and converted try. Brive then fought back and not only equalised but also went ahead with an extra try over their opponents. They were the leaders going into the second half and it was only a few minutes until Bayonne equalised. It was then that the game became almost equal for both sides as no tries took place and very little could be put between the teams. Bayonne were finally able to get the last shout with a penalty in the 76th minute and despite going down to fourteen men with a minute to go, took the victory 26-23!
