Gonzalo Quesada to Coach Italy After 2023 Rugby World Cup
Gonzalo Quesada will become Italy coach after the 2023 Rugby World Cup replacing Kieran Crowley, the Italian federation announced Friday.
Originally from Buenos Aires, raised in the Hindu Club and graduated in Economics from the University of Belgrano, Quesada boasts a brilliant career as an opening midfielder and, in his 38 appearances with the Argentina jersey, he totaled 486 points, the fourth most prolific Puma of all time.
The 49-year-old former Argentinian fly-half has been in charge of Top 14 side Stade Francais since 2020 but will assume his new role in January 2024 and prepare the side for the Six Nations championship.
“The arrival of Gonzalo Quesada on the bench of Italy is great news for all of our rugby.
