Tom Grabham forced to retire due to injury
Scarlets can today confirm that Tom Grabham has been forced to retire from professional rugby due to injury.
The winger underwent surgery to repair a knee injury but hasn’t been able to recover to a level that can sustain the rigours of professional rugby. Full story
James Cordy Redden & Seb Stegmann sign contract extensions
Ealing Trailfinders have announced that wingers James Cordy Redden & Seb Stegmann will both remain with the club for the 2018/19 season after signing contract extensions.
The pair have been impressive performers throughout the 2017/18 campaign across the back-three, and have been rewarded with new deals to stay at Vallis Way for another year. Full story
Cottrell signs new Rebels deal
The Melbourne Rebels have confirmed the contract extension of back rower, Angus Cottrell, through to the end of the 2019 season.
The popular 28-year-old has made five appearances for the Rebels since crossing from the Western Force at the start of the 2018 pre-season.
Swys joins Springbok coaching staff for June Tests
Lions head coach Swys de Bruin will join the Springbok coaching staff on a consultancy basis for the June Tests, SA Rugby has confirmed.
De Bruin will link up with the Springboks in the build-up to their first Test of the year, against Wales in Washington DC on 2 June, as well as for the much-anticipated Incoming Series against England, which kicks off on 9 June in Johannesburg. Full story
