Six years ago, George Kruis, the man who on Sunday has to combat the ferocity of Ireland’s Paul O’Connell and the height of the giant Devin Toner in Dublin, was kicking about in Cape Town for local side Hamiltons with pals from Dorking RFC with no notion that he might one day be going head to head with the British and Irish Lions captain he was cheering on that year in South Africa.
