England enjoyed a last-gasp, 1-point victory over the World Champion Springboks at Twickenham on Saturday evening. It was a gigantic effort by the English pack who managed to gain parity with the Boks, although the discipline in the game left much to be desired. 

The final whistle sounded with the final score at 27-26 and England owed much to the coming-of-age performance of young Marcus Smith who ran things beautifully from the flyhalf channel, as well as great running skills by fullback Freddie Steward who picked up the man-of-match title.
