Cornal Hendricks signs with Kings

Former Springbok wing Cornal Hendricks has agreed terms to play for the Kings in the forthcoming Pro14 competition.
The 29-year-old, who has won 12 Test caps for the Springboks, had to stop playing early in 2016 because of a serious heart condition.
Since then his contract with the Stormers was cancelled, a lucrative deal with French club Toulon fell through, and the Bulls opted not to sign him on advice from their medical staff, despite the player training at Loftus for several weeks.
Kings chief operating officer Charl Crous confirmed the signing of Hendricks on Monday afternoon and said the player has been given the all clear to resume playing.
The Kings have also secured the services of lock Dries van Schalkwyk. The 32-year old played for Zebre in the Pro12 last season and has won 12 Test caps for Italy.
