Champions Cup Team of the Week - Round 2

An abreviated weekend of games after the forfeiture and postponing of a number of games but we still got to see five games this weekend with a clean sweep of home wins. 

Ulster managed a narrow 5 point win over Saints with Nick Timoney earning Man of the Match. Courtney Lawes, Rob Herring, George Furbank, James Hume and Michael Lowry all putting their hands up.

Harlequins overcame Cardiff in a cracking game with the visitors, directed by Dan Fish at 10, putting up a good fight before Marcus Smith, Andre Esterhuizen and Alex Dombrandt turned the tables after the scores all square on 17 all at the break.

Glasgow Warriors put in a brilliant performance to smother Exeter Chiefs out of the contest in a dense fog at Scotstoun. Jack Dempsey again put in a Man of the Match performance but young fly half Ross Thompson took the game away from the 2019/20 Champions Cup winners

Munster beat Castres in a game where the home side struggled to get going. Jack O'Donoghue and Kevin Kornath scored the only tries of the game but the boot of Ben Healy secured the win for Munster.


Leicester Tigers beat a Connacht side who managed a later drop kick from Jack Carty to secure a losing bonus point. The home side scored 4 tries to earna try bonus point.
