Bateman extends Tigers stay

Greg Bateman has agreed terms on a new contract with Leicester Tigers.

The front-rower signed from Exeter Chiefs in 2015 and has represented the Tigers on 29 occasions. His versatility has been key for the Tigers as he has played in all three-front rower positions this season for the club.

"I've thoroughly enjoyed my year-and-a-half here so far. We've got a great bunch of lads here and a good environment across the board. It's a club where everyone wants to achieve success and I want to continue to be part of that.” Bateman said.

Tigers head coach Aaron Mauger added: "Greg has worked hard as part of a very competitive front-row group here and has also shown his versatility and value to the squad by playing at prop and hooker in his time with Tigers. We look forward to seeing his continued development in this squad.”
