Players are on the pitch. Kick off is only a minute away.
Last minute change in the Sharks line up with Etienne Oosthuizen coming in for Stephan Lewies. Tera Mtembu lands a spot on the bench. That being said, the Sharks do still look to have a strong tight 5. It will be interesting to see what happens with Sharks being incredibly eager at the breakdown against the Highlanders fast turnovers. 10 minutes to go, get set and ready.
as the only SA side in with a realistic chance , the time is now.... GO SHARKS!!!
Go highlanders!!!!
Good day folks. Today we have an exciting prospect on our hands. Highlanders, who beat the Sharks for the second consecutive season have had to travel over 10 000 km to reach the shores to Durban. Sharks Director of Rugby, Jake White, said in a recent interview that the loss earlier this is a good thing as it will cause his team not too underestimate the Highlanders(100% Paraphrased), who come off a the back of two heavy defeats to the Waratahs and Crusaders.
The return of Ben Smith could be a major boost for the Highlanders, he could be made to shine or dim depending of the performance of Sharks flyhalf, Frans Steyn. It is common knowledge that Steyn is an incredibly talented rugby player, but can be inconsistent at times. If Steyn puts in a poor performance with the boot, it could result in Smith with time and space, not something opposing backlines look forward to.
The potential return of Pat Lambie is an exciting prospect for Sharks fans. He looks likely to get a run in the second half, but this is rugby, who knows what will happen?
I'm sure Sharks fans are waiting in anticipation, as are the Highlanders support. Justifiable for both sets of fans. This clash promises to as exciting as any, with two very different teams taking to the pitch. Who's style of play is going to prove to be the winning formula today? Let's wait and see.
