Two very contrasting teams went head-to-head, gave it everything they had, but unfortunately there has to be a winner and a loser, today Sharks came out on top. Hard luck to a very entertaining Highlanders team, they ran the ball well, moved it superbly through the hands, and were very clinical on the break. Sharks were superb at the scrum and retained the ball well, and in the end that's what gave them the win. Thanks for following the game and participating throughout. Good day and goodnight.
Lambie sends it into touch. Game over.
Come on sharks pull it through! !
Sharks penalty in the 22m of the Highlanders. Steyn eventually lines it up for goal after trying to buy as much time as possible.
Sharks are holding on to this ball for their dear life. 2 minutes to go
Sharks are up by a point with 5 minutes to go. Kings Park Stadium will be a ball of nerves, as this Highlanders team can make something out of nothing. This is going to be a tight finish
You beauty
New Sharks front row do exactly what the old ones were doing and earn a penalty in the Highlanders 22m.
Sharks keep running the ball, getting over the advantage line every time. Deysel picks the ball up at the ruck, breaks the line, gets over the tryline only to knock it on. Highlanders scrum 5 m out.
Great cheers from the Sharks support as golden boy, Pat Lambie, is on for the first time since March. There will be a shuffle in the Sharks back line in order for Lambie to play at flyhalf, where he is at his best.
