Ireland take a 33-8 lead over Romania into halftime. Romania got off to a dream start, scoring a try just two minutes in to lead 5-0. Ireland hit back with three quick scores to open up a 19-5 lead. Romania pulled three points back with a penalty, but then picked up a yellow card around the half hour mark. Ireland capitalized with a further two tries for a commanding lead at the break.
