Hein, I think it is different with regards to the ball. The player may touch flag as much as he wants and not be out until touching the ground but the ball may not.

I think the TMO got it spot on. Looked simultaneous to me.

I read the rule on that final try... If ball is grounded at the same time a player goes into touch a try has been scored. The same as downward pressure rule. The final call from the tmo is unacceptable, the tmo not knowing the rule cost a team a win... Not a bad call, not the hands in ruck that wasn't seen by the ref but a TMO not knowing the rule cost a team a win and gave another team the win... Maybe Sanzar should stop trying to sort out the format of the competition and do more to make sure rugby is a fair game with a real contest not a game where the people Sanzar, decide should officiate, maybe Rugby and Sanzar is the new cricket racketeering scandal!

The TMO adjudges that the ball touched the touchline as well as the tryline simultaneously, thus no try was awarded and the Crusaders win the match as the final whistle blows. What an ending to the match. Thank you for joining Ultimate Rugby for tonight's match.

This is going to be a very tough call for the TMO

Highlanders go wide and dive into the corner, its too close to call. TMO to decide who wins the match.
