Swanepoel gets the game underway.
Both teams begin to make their way out onto the pitch. Kingsholm is buzzing tonight.
After seeing Toulon and Northampton winning the respective European Trophies last May we now embark on 2 new competitions and that starts tonight with the introduction of the European Challenge Cup. We start this seasons European Games at Kingsholm tonight where French side Brive take on Gloucester. The homeside who have had a slow start to the season but have come on leaps and bounds winning 4 of their last 5 games will be hoping to pick up some silverware this year with a new coach and new players looking to start their new careers with a medal come May. As for Brive they made it to the quarter finals of last years competition and with French sides predominantly focusing on the league rather than cup competitions Gloucester will be hoping to take full advantage. Kick off is less than 15 minutes away so stay with us for the first piece of European Club Rugby this season.
Gloucester go into the game with 4 wins in their last 5 games, where as Brive have struggled for form as of late as they find themselves second from bottom in the TOP 14.
