TRY! Connacht touch down for their sixth try of the game. Strong, powerful and clever running from Matt Healy gains Connacht valuable metres and he offloads wide to Poolman who touches down in the corner. Porter misses the tricky touchline conversion and the scores remain at 41-5.

David McSharry enters the fray to earn his 50th cap for Connacht. He replaces the impressive Craig Ronaldson at inside centre.

TRY! Just as La Rochelle post their first try of the game, Connacht hit back straight away with their fifth of the game. Leader looking dangerous once again spots a gap in the La Rochelle defence and exploits it with ease. He then feeds the ball to Henshaw who touches down for his second try of the game. Ronaldson adds the extras to extend the lead to 36-5.

TRY! Just the start that the visitors were looking for! A well structured play from La Rochelle sees the ball passed out wide to feed winger Cler in the corner. Scrum-half LeBail misses the attempt to see the scores stay at 29-5.

Both sides re-enter the pitch. The only change at the break sees Ian Porter come in to replace try-scorer Kieran Marmion.

Leader kicks the ball dead and that brings this high-scoring opening 40 minutes of rugby to a close. Connacht have really looked the dominant side and that is reflected in the score. They will certainly be going in at the break the happier of the two teams with that much sought after bonus point. It took the visitors almost 25 minutes to get into the game, but with already two tries conceded. They have however had promising passages of play but lapses in concentration have spoiled dangerous territory. They will surely be looking to come out fighting in the second half so let's hope for a thrilling final 40 minutes of play.
