Western Province travel north to the fortress that is Loftus Versveld , where they will face an in form Blue Bulls side.
This will be the first time since 2012 hat Western Province will have an away Semi Final and the visitors will look to overcome the hoodoo that is the hallowed turf of the north. Beaten by the hosts in the first weekend of the competition on this very ground , Western Province have improved drastically from that day. The visitors have had their fair share of hiccups along the way but, they will be ready for this mouthwatering clash. A number of experienced players are back in the side and will bolster the Western Province pack , notably the return of Elstadt to the pack will be welcomed by the reigning champs.
The hosts on the other hand have had a memorable season thus far with 8 wins from 10 games. A relatively young and inexperienced Bulls side will take to the field for what will be a first Currie Cup Semi Final for most of the starting 15. Jacques Du Plessis is back at lock for the hosts in an otherwise unchanged side that won last week against the Pumas.
