Marco Fuser

Fuser is a prominent Italian rugby union player who primarily plays as a lock. Having started at Mogliano in the Italian domestic league, he moved to Benetton Treviso in the Pro12 in 2012, where he has remained ever since.

Represented Italy U20 in two games at the Junior World Trophy in Moscow in 2010 then started all five of Italy's matches in the U20 Six Nations 2011.

He made his test debut off the bench against Canada in Toronto in the summer of 2012 he then played for Emerging Italy in the Nations Cup in Bucharest in June 2013 before adding a second cap against Japan in Tokyo June 2014.

Fuser came off the bench to make his 6 Nations bow against Ireland in the opening round in Rome 2015. He made his first start in the tournament against France in round 1 the following year and scored his first test try against Scotland in round 3.

He made his first start for Italy against Scotland at Murrayfield in a World Cup warm-up game, but only played for 1 minute in RWC 2015 against Canada at Leeds.

Fuser won 27 caps for Italy before being selected in the 2018 Italian 6 Nations squad.

In August 2020, after 119 games for Treviso and 33 international caps, Fuser signed a two-year deal with Newcastle Falcons.
