A former army mechanic, this Super Rugby nomad has played for all the NZ franchises except the Crusaders.
His career started at Manawatu where he amassed 70 caps before being contracted to a number of other regions and franchises.
From 2011-2014 he played his rugby in Japan before returning to the ITM Cup and Super Rugby with a bang and resurrecting his career.
In 2015, Triggs signed a deal with Leinster to play Pro12 and Champions Cup rugby.
The 35-year-old New Zealander, who has played for the Hurricanes, Highlanders, Chiefs and Blues, will end his rugby career with Leinster at the end of the 2017/18 season.
